Mikveh Kashrut Supervision

Merkaz HaTahara has built a supervision network that provides a professional, immediate, real-time response in every region of Israel. Nine teams go out into the field every day, touring and supervising the mikvaot in their region according to precise checklists developed by the organization's rabbanim. The teams received deep, thorough training in the laws of mikvaot from the rabbanim, along with intensive field training — so that supervision is precise and deficiencies liable to cause halachic or technical problems are identified.

Using advanced software, each team continuously reports the conditions at every location. Each team knows its supervision region deeply and thoroughly, enabling immediate information on any deficiency. The team "lives" its territory, is available for every call, and stays in continuous contact with headquarters. Every supervision visit is reported immediately, with details that give a complete and precise picture of the mikveh's condition.

When a deficiency or question arises, the organization's rabbanim arrive and leave a precise report for the technical team — what to fix and how. The technical team acts immediately and documents the repair. Management follows up consistently and updates all relevant parties — regional rabbanim, the local community, the local authority and others — that matters have been handled as required.
